Finca La Cabaña, with an area of 5,000 square metres, belongs to Gójar village, a very quiet area surrounding Granada, placed at the hillsides of Sierra Nevada and only 8 km away from Granada downtown. It has fantastic views over the mountains and the countryside scenery, a garden with old trees, tennis court, large salt water swimming pool, barbecue, chill out area, golf putting green, parking, etc. Gójar town center is just 500 meters from La Cabaña, where you will find any kind of services you may need.
The villa, its design being attributed to the prestigious architect Carlos Pfeifer by the sixties, has been completely renovated and refurnished at the beginning of 2020 and it is pefectly equipped to accommodate up to 14 people, including accessibility for disabled people.
Preserving the spirit of La Cabaña, its large living room is built with stone walls and high ceilings lined with wood and an outstanding two meters round fireplace; it has a dining table for 14 people, a 75″ TV, large sofas, and a soundbar.
The seven spacious and warm bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (five en-suite bathrooms) and three of them suites on the upper floor with private outdoor terrace, have been renovated with a much more contemporary design. One of them, on the fully accessible ground floor, is a perfectly adapted bedroom and bathroom.
The kitchen, with more than 25 m2, is fully equipped with a separate pantry, gas fire, dishwasher, microwave, 90 cm oven, freezer chest, refrigerator, etc. At the outside we will find the laundry, drying rack and ironing room.
By the front outdoor area, we find a large porch, conveniently furnished, with extraordinary views over the city of Granada and the magnificent garden with the saltwater pool (160 m², distributed in children and adult areas, and a maximum depth of 180 cm), sorrounded by old trees, green zone and, beyond, the tennis court. In the back southern area of the house, we will find the splendid barbecue, solarium or chill-out area and parking.
The property has its own waterhole and is equipped with photovoltaic panels for power generation and a modern aerothermal system for air conditioning that provides heating in winter and cold air in summer. It is an establishment equipped with the most advanced techniques, environmentally friendly and virtually self-sufficient in terms of energy. Free WiFi available throughout the house.
Access to Sierra Nevada natural park trails, ideal for trekking and mountain biking, is close and easy from the surroundings of the property. And Santa Clara Golf Club in Otura is just a few kilometers away.
A bus stop, to connect with Granada and the rest of the nearby villages, is right at the entrance gate, and the journey to the center of Granada doesn’t exceed ten minutes. Access to the A-44 coast highway is 2 km away; the Sierra Nevada ski resort, 25 km; Granada airport 37 km; and the tropical coast of Granada, 60 km away.
This is an ideal space for long stays, family gatherings, groups of friends, business meetings, etc., enjoying the various offered open air activities while visiting Granada, the city of La Alhambra, one of the most visited monuments in Spain, is just ten minutes from the estate.
